Since joining the Lab Six team in February of 2017, Paulo (aka Midsole) has carefully passed down his years of knowledge and industry experience to his students engulfed in the world of DJ’ing. Studying in a fun, relaxed, and open learning environment is a top priority that Paulo stands behind and strongly believes this will help his students achieve their goals and thrive within the music industry.
Apart from Paulo’s passion for mixing a wide array of music, it was the art of turntablism that really enticed him into self-teaching himself to DJ in 2011. In a short period of time Paulo quickly made his mark in Perth’s DJ and music scene. His world-class technical abilities on the turntables lead him to win multiple DMC Scratch Championships back to back to back in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Paulo’s hard work and copious amounts of exposure in the scene allowed him to gain a multitude of nightclub residencies throughout Perth as well as support and DJ alongside international artists including A-Trak, Baauer, Grandtheft, A$AP Ferg, Lunice, and Mr. Carmack to name a few.
