Known by his alias “Midsole”, Paulo Padernilla is no stranger to Australia’s turntablism DJ scene. With only one year’s worth of self-taught DJ experience, Paulo surprised Perth by earning his first WA DMC DJ Championship title in 2012 and had the honour of representing WA in the Australian Finals in Melbourne. He continued to dominate Perth’s DJ scene by winning the DMC Championships back to back to back in 2013 and 2014.
Paulo’s undeniable addiction to turntablism and his world class technical DJ ability has lead him to gaining a multitude of club residencies throughout Perth and has supported international artists including Baauer, Grandtheft, A$AP Ferg, Lunice, and Mr. Carmack to name a few.
Since joining the Lab Six team in February of 2017, Paulo has carefully and effectively passed down his years of knowledge, industry experience, and passion for music to help unlock the potential of all his students. Assisting them in achieving their goals in a fun, relaxed, and open learning environment is his number priority.
